You are invited to join us for our next Time-for-a-top-up training with our dementia care expert Sally Knocker!

About the session:

Sally has delivered training sessions for us on everything from embracing touch in dementia care to reminiscence. This session will be a more general – sharing top tips and techniques on communicating with participants living with dementia during the parties. If there’s anything in particular that you’d like to cover in the session, or any experiences from the parties that you’d like to share and gain some advice on – this is the time!

About Sally Knocker:
We have a longstanding relationship with Sally, whom for many years has provided high-quality training sessions for volunteers on our intergenerational projects – where many participants live with dementia. Sally uses her background in drama therapy to help care homes and practitioners think creatively about how to support people living with dementia, adopting a more ‘being with’ and less ‘doing for’ approach. She is a fantastic source of inspiration as an educator in dementia care and we believe her sessions invaluable towards supporting you in your volunteer role!
